Multiple Cars Go Up in Flames Across Gelderland During Christmas Night

Veenendaal, Velp, and Westervoort Hit by Car Fires on Christmas Night

Three municipalities in the Netherlands experienced a wave of car fires on Christmas night, with multiple vehicles fully engulfed in flames. The incidents, which occurred in Veenendaal, Velp, and Westervoort, left residents shocked and emergency services rushed to the scenes.

In Veenendaal, two cars were completely destroyed on Stuivenbergheem, while another car was set alight near an Albert Heijn supermarket, causing significant damage to the building. Witnesses reported seeing the vehicles fully ablaze, with flames rising high into the night sky.

The neon lights of Westervoort’s Nieuwhof were also dimmed by the intense flames of yet another car fire, with the vehicle reduced to its charred remains.

Velp was not spared from the unusual spate of fires, with a car going up in flames in the municipality.

Sources reveal that the fires are not believed to be connected, with investigations ongoing to determine the cause of each incident.

Residents are advised to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to local authorities. Anyone with information about the car fires is urged to come forward.
