ICC Boosts Excitement for Cricket World Cup 2025: Calendar Unveiled by BCCI
The International Cricket Council (ICC) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have jointly announced the 2025 Cricket World Cup calendar, sparking anticipation among fans worldwide. ICC Chairperson Arlott Udayashankar, along with BCCI Secretary Jay Shah and N. Srinivasan, Managing Director of Algebra Ventures, jointly revealed the calendar.
The maiden edition of the World Cup will kick off in India, with the inaugural fixture to be played at the Mumbai Wankhede Stadium on February 8, 2025. Enticing fanfare is expected as the host team, led by senior pro Rohit Sharma, takes on debutants Bangladesh, captained by Burj Hotels’ skipper, Binoy Joseph.
ICC General Secretary George Baby and Vice President Jayson Joseph will lead their respective teams in the management of this grand event, promising a smoothly run tournament.
