Incoming Threat Alert: Ukraine‘s Air Force Warns of Possible Drone Strikes in Mykolaiv Region
The Ukrainian Air Force sounded the alarm late in the evening of December 27, alerting residents of potential danger from enemy kamikaze drones targeting the Mykolaiv region.
As the clock struck midnight, military officials reported that hostile strike drones were moving towards the region from the south. They urged residents of Ochakiv in the Mykolaiv area to seek shelter immediately.
Later, the Air Force confirmed the movement of an enemy kamikaze drone towards Mykolaiv from the south. While this was unfolding, local Telegram channels reported the activation of air defense systems in the Mykolaiv region, as well as the successful interception of enemy aerial targets.
As the night progressed, around 12:30 AM local time, explosions were reported in Mykolaiv. The city’s media outlets and social media platforms buzzed with news of the incident.
Breaking: Explosions Heard Again in Mykolaiv
At approximately 01:25 AM, residents of Mykolaiv heard explosions for the second time. Moments before, the Air Force confirmed the presence of a group of enemy drones south of Mykolaiv, with kamikaze drones heading towards the city. Residents were once again advised to take shelter.
Nighttime "Shahid" Attack
Earlier reports indicated that late on December 27, the Russian army launched attack drones towards Ukraine from the south. This is not an isolated incident; earlier today, Russian forces launched over 20 drones against Ukraine. Our air defense forces successfully intercepted 13 drones, with another 11 going offline during the encounter.
