Sony Interactive Entertainment has officially announced the PlayStation Plus monthly games lineup for August 2026, featuring Dying Light 2 Stay Human and CNET alongside the previously announced Pushsquare. Subscribers to Sony’s subscription service can download the trio of titles starting on Tuesday, August 4, through Monday, August 31.
PlayStation Plus August 2026 Lineup Headlined by Dying Light 2 and Signalis
PlayStation Plus Essential represents the lowest tier of the service, offering monthly games, online multiplayer access, cloud storage, and discounts on PlayStation Store purchases following a price hike across all tiers in May. The subscription plans start at $11 per month, with annual pricing set at $79.99 and three-month plans priced at $27.99.
Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition Leads the Month
The August headliner is Techland’s zombie survival-adventure game, which arrives as the Reloaded Edition on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The release includes an expanded arsenal and more than 10 post-launch updates. Set roughly 20 years after the original game, the post-apocalyptic title casts players as Aiden Caldwell, a wanderer navigating The City while battling infected zombies and rival factions.
The game features open-world exploration, parkour mechanics, and a choice of up to four-player cooperative gameplay. While the title received mixed player reactions and decent reviews following its initial 2022 launch, it has received extensive post-launch support. IGN awarded the game a 7/10 in its review, noting that No patch can fix the forgettable main plot or the protagonist I couldn’t pick out of a police lineup even after 80 hours in his shoes, but Dying Light 2’s streets tell their own stories.
Cooperative Adventure Big Walk and Psychological Horror Signalis
Rounding out the monthly trio are two distinct indie experiences. ign.com comes from House House, the creators of Untitled Goose Game. Described as a long-form cooperative multiplayer game focused on talking and teamwork, the title tasks friends with exploring a peaceful, open world filled with puzzles and challenges. Developer House House and publisher Panic designed the game for groups playing across multiple sessions rather than random matchmaking, and confirmed it supports cross-play across platforms including Windows PC, Mac, and Nintendo Switch 2.
polygon.com brings a retro-styled sci-fi psychological survival horror experience to PlayStation 4. Set in a dystopian solar system, the game follows Elster, a humanoid android known as a Replika, as she searches for a lost partner while exploring a derelict spaceship, fighting nightmarish creatures, and solving puzzles with limited resources.
Bonus Marvel Tōkon Content and Subscription Details
In addition to the monthly games, subscribers will have access to a bonus Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls PlayStation Plus Pack beginning August 6. Available via the PlayStation Store for 12 months, the add-on includes five avatars inspired by Captain America, Storm, Spider-Man, Doctor Doom, and Ghost Rider, alongside a set of in-game character poses featuring 20 characters such as Spider-Man, Ms. Marvel, Star-Lord, and Peni Parker.
Players looking to claim the previous month’s offerings have until August 3 to download July’s Essential games, which included Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, For the King 2, and CrossCode.
