Rachev predicts a warmer-than-usual December, stating, "We’re sending December out warmer than usual. In fact, January too looks milder. Winter isn’t as harsh as it seems."
For skiers and snowboarding enthusiasts, the news is just as delightful. Banks and Borovets are expected to enjoy splendid weather, despite Friday’s chilly and windy start in North Bulgaria, with reduced visibility at certain areas.
However, the weekend brings more snowfall, especially in the mountains, with heavy snow predicted in parts of Northern Bulgaria and the Northeast. Higher altitudes might see snowstorms and slips, so be cautious on the passes.
