Breaking News: Head of Anesthesiology Program at Undip Named Suspect in Student’s Death
SEMARANG, iNews.id – A significant development has emerged in the case involving the death of Aulia Risma Lestari, a student in the Doctor of Specialization Education (PPDS) Anesthesiology program at the Faculty of Medicine, Diponegoro University (FK Undip). One of the three suspects in the case has been identified as Bullying Case Leading to Dr. Aulia Risma's Death”>Taufik Eko Nugroho, the current head of the Anesthesiology program at FK Undip. The other two suspects, identified by the initials SM and Zr, are senior students of the late Aulia.
The revelation was made by Misyal Achmad, the family’s legal counsel, on Tuesday, December 24, 2024. Aulia’s family has named Dr. Taufik Eko as a suspect in their formal report. The cause of Aulia’s death is believed to be bullying and hazing, with Dr. Taufik Eko being one of the prime suspects.
Dr. Taufik Eko, a graduate of FK Undip’s medical program in 2005, later pursued specialization in Anesthesiology, earning his certification in 2012. He is currently a practicing doctor at the National Hospital Diponegoro and the Regional General Hospital KRMT Wongsonegoro. In addition to his medical practice, Dr. Taufik Eko also serves as a lecturer at FK Undip, teaching various subjects such as Seminar in Anesthesiology and Incentive Therapy I, Research Methodology and Statistics, Teaching and Learning Methodologies, Clinical Management, and Applied Clinical Anesthesiology and Intensive Care.
The East Java Regional Police have confirmed the identification of the three suspects following a charge approval process held on Monday, December 23, 2024. "The PPDS case has gone through the charge approval process, involving investigators, Polda supervisors, and from Bareskrim, the Wassidik Bureau and the Tipidum Directorate," said Kombes Pol Dwi Subagio, the Director of Criminal Investigations at Polda Jateng. "Three suspects have been named in the case."
