Russian President Putin Reveals Secret U.S. Offer to Delay Ukraine‘s NATO Bid in Exchange for Freezing Moscow-Kyiv Conflict
In a surprising disclosure, Russian President Vladimir Putin has revealed that U.S. President Joe Biden put forth a secret proposal to delay Ukraine’s NATO membership in exchange for freezing the Moscow-Kyiv conflict. This revelation came during a press conference in St. Petersburg following the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council (SEEC).
According to Putin, the offer was extended during a NATO summit held in Geneva in 2021. The Russian leader shared that the Biden administration had proposed to postpone Ukraine’s NATO accession for 10-15 years, citing Kyiv’s unpreparedness. In response, Putin underscored that Moscow could not accept Ukraine’s inclusion in the U.S.-led military alliance now or in the future.
