The upcoming night will see considerable cloud cover, but rainfall is expected to cease in the southern and southeastern regions by morning. A mild to moderate northerly to northwesterly wind will continue, Turning strong in the eastern Rhodopes, Sliven, and coastal areas, while western and central parts of the Danube Plain will remain mostly calm or have light southerly gusts. Minimum temperatures will range from -4°C to 2°C in most populated areas.
As the day progresses, rain is set to intensify in Northeastern Bulgaria, spreading to Southwestern regions by the end of the day. The passage of the occluded front is expected to bring brief but intense rainfall and snow, along with sleet and snow flurries, creating conditions for new snow cover of 10-15 cm in mountainous and foothill regions. Wind direction will shift to the northwest, ranging from mild to moderate with strong gusts in the previously mentioned areas. Maximum temperatures will range from -1°C to 4°C, slightly higher in the regions around Vidin, Pловdiv, Sandanski, and Pazardzhik.
Meteorology Bulgaria forecasts that the storm will bring significant precipitation and strong winds, urging residents to take necessary precautions.
