Missing Teen: Authorities Utilize Lie Detector on Family Members to Clarify 13-Year-Old‘s Disappearance
In a concerted effort to locate 13-year-old Nikolai, who is believed to have Down Syndrome and has been missing since recently, authorities in the Bulgarian town of Stara Zagora are now employing a polygraph to verify information from family members and close relatives. The decision comes as part of an intensified search operation, involving not only law enforcement but also psychological experts, according to a report by Nova TV.
Director of Police in Stara Zagora, Krasimir Hristov, has confirmed the use of a lie detector, emphasizing the need to explore all angles and dispel any lingering doubts. This approach is part of a multi-faceted investigation that ranges from searching water bodies to examining theories of accidental death or criminal activity.
Hristov stressed, "We’re leaving no stone unturned. We’ve brought in divers to check waterways, and we’re checking all potential leads, including the possibility that someone is concealing vital information."
Nikolai’s disappearance has left the community on edge, with no sign of the boy despite extensive search and rescue efforts. Authorities, in an attempt to maximize the effectiveness of their search, have not ruled out any potential cause or motive for the teen’s disappearance.
