HHK‘s Broad Moderamen Announces Retirement of Rev. Jan Muilwijk
The broad moderamen (board) of the Hersteld Hervormde Kerk (HHK) has announced the retirement of Rev. Jan Muilwijk, effective this week. This decision was made in accordance with ordinance 13.31 ("Release other than at own request") of the HHK’s church order.
Following his retirement, Rev. Muilwijk will retain the privileges of an emeritus pastor. He had been serving the Reformed/restored congregation in Ouddorp since 2020. Prior to this, he ministered to congregations in Oosterwolde (2007) and Loon op Zand (2013).
Ds. D.J. Diepenbroek, secretary of the broad moderamen, declined to provide further comment when approached for the matter.
