Russian Forces Edge Closer to Dnipro, Ukraine on High Alert

Ukraine’s defense forces are on high alert as Russian troops, for the first time, close in to within 7.5 kilometers of Dnipro city, local media reports. The strategic shift raises fears that Moscow could outmaneuver Ukrainian forces, posing a significant threat to the capital, Kyiv.

Local media outlets report that Russian military operations near Velika Novoselka, north of Makariv, are pushing towards Ukrainian strongholds. Strana.ua, a Ukrainian publication, warns that a continued Russian advance could encircle and then bypass these fortifications, leading to a potential assault on Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia regions.

Ukrainian analytical center DeepState has mapped out real-time Russian positions, confirming that Russian forces are now just 7.5 kilometers from the Dnipro regional border. As the situation evolves, Ukrainian forces brace for potential encirclement tactics from the Russian military.
