Breaking: Vessel Runs Aground Off Trøndelag Coast; All Crew Rescued Safely

A vessel has run aground off the coast of Trøndelag, west of Ørland, with significant damage to its side, according to Steinar Vatne, the rescue leader at the Southern Norway Joint Rescue Centre. The incident was reported at 19:10 local time on Monday.

Emergency services swiftly responded, dispatching a rescue boat and the helicopter, ‘Sar Queen’, to the scene. By 19:55, the helicopter had arrived and begun evacuating those on board the stricken vessel. Within half an hour, all individuals were safely rescued.

The Trøndelag Police District confirmed that all crew members were airlifted to Ørlandet and are reported to be in good health, with no injuries sustained. The vessel’s condition and the cause of the grounding remain under investigation.
