Article:
A 68-year-old restaurateur, Georgi Paunov, was arrested in Bachkovo after allegedly threatening to kill two men. The Plovdiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office has charged Paunov with both making threats and public disorder offenses. The incident occurred yesterday at a parking lot in the village.
One charge is for indecent behavior that grossly violates public order and expresses clear disrespect for society. The other charge is for the threats, which could instill fear in the threatened men that the crime would be committed.
Paunov has been detained for up to 72 hours under an order from the overseeing prosecutor. The Plovdiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office will seek a court order for his detention as a precautionary measure.
