Under the new rules based on Law No. 1/2022, regional governments can collect additional tax (opsen) on PKB and BBNKB. Opsen PKB involves additional tax on the base PKB, while opsen BBNKB is additional tax on the base BBNKB. However, these additional taxes will not apply in the Special Capital Region of Jakarta. The Jakarta Regional Tax Office (Bapenda DKI Jakarta) clarifies that Jakarta collects no additional taxes on PKB, as it has no regional division or districts under its administration.
