Bandung Police Arrest Three Suspected Teenagers for Assault Against Singaporean Tourist

In a troubling incident, Bandung’s police force has apprehended three suspects accused of assaulting a Singaporean tourist in the city’s vibrant Braga Street. Strikingly, all three suspects, identified as RF, RM, and MCA, are currently students, with one being just 17 years old.

The arrest, which took place late on Friday, December 4, 2025, saw the trio transported to the Bandung Metropolitan Police’s Criminal Investigation Department for further questioning and examination. The primary motivation behind the assault, as reported by the police, appears to be a disparity in financial status.

Speaking at the police headquarters, Bandung Police Chief Kombes Budi Sartono clarified the timeline of events, stating, "From our initial investigations, we have reason to believe that the assault didn’t occur during the New Year’s Eve celebrations, but rather on December 29."

The teenagers, who hail from the Cimaung district in Bandung’s suburbs, were apprehended on Friday night, with police expressing their relief at making the arrests swiftly. "By the grace of Allah, we were able to apprehend the three suspects last night," Kombes Budi confirmed.

The police also underscored that all three suspects are minors, urging the public to demonstrate understanding and leniency towards their youth and educational status. "They are still students, and as such, should be treated as minors under the law," Kombes Budi added.

This distressing incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of travel safety and mutual respect among individuals from diverse backgrounds. As policing and judicial processes continue, we urge all parties to extend their patience and understanding.

Headline: Japan‘s Longevity Secret: The Power of ‘Radio Taiso‘

Subheadline: Uncovering the Daily Exercise Routine That’s Helping Japanese, Particularly Okinawa Residents, Live Longer, Healthier Lives

Body:

In the land of the rising sun, Japan, it’s not uncommon to find individuals living well into their 100s with remarkable vitality. The average life expectancy in Japan is among the highest in the world, a feat that has attracted the attention of longevity experts like Dan Buettner. According to him, Okinawa residents, especially women, have the longest lifespans globally, with lower rates of cancer, heart disease, and dementia than their American counterparts.

One key to their longevity, as revealed by authors Hector Garcia and Francesc Miralles in their book "Ikigai: The Japanese Secret to a Long and Happy Life," is the daily practice of ‘Radio Taiso.’

What is Radio Taiso?

Radio taiso, or ‘radio exercises,’ is a low-impact workout routine that’s been broadcast daily since 1929 on NHK Radio 1 at 6:30 AM. It requires just five minutes, making it an accessible addition to anyone’s morning routine. This communal activity is often performed by groups before school or work, fostering a sense of unity and collective well-being.

The routine involves simple movements, such as raising both hands above one’s head and then lowering them in a circular motion. "It might seem simple, but in our modern lives, we often go days without stretching our arms this way," say Garcia and Miralles.

Radio taiso is often supplemented by other practices like tai chi and yoga, further enriching the daily exercise regimen of Japan’s elderly population. Their commitment to regular, low-impact activity is yielding remarkable results, with fewer age-related health issues and an overall higher quality of life.

Embracing this simple yet powerful exercise routine could be the key to unlocking a longer, healthier, and happier life. So, consider tuning into your inner ‘Radio Taiso’ and give it a try yourself. After all, as they say in Japan, "lesson starts now – let’s do radio taiso together!"

Under this regulation, ‘obeyek PKB’ (objects of vehicle tax) refer to the ownership and/or control of motorized vehicles registered within Jakarta’s jurisdiction. However, five types of vehicles are exempt from this tax:

by Chief Editor December 29, 2024
written by Chief Editor

Title: Kickstart Your New Year’s Health Resolution with Regular Check-ups

In the whirlwind of setting New Year’s resolutions, we often impose lofty health goals upon ourselves, but how do we measure our progress? According to Dr. Ray Rattu, SpPD, a healthcare practitioner at Mayapada Hospital Jakarta Selatan, the key lies in regular check-ups.

"To truly embrace health, we must have benchmarks to determine if we’re on the right track," says Dr. Ray. Regular check-ups provide these much-needed insights, ideally conducted annually, especially for those over 35.

But what does a comprehensive check-up entail? Dr. Ray explains that it varies depending on one’s health profile and needs. However, general categories and age-related vulnerabilities often guide the types of investigations.

For young adults (17-35):

Infected conditions are common among this age group. Regular check-ups can help monitor and prevent:

-Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs)
–AIDS
-Hepatitis

For adults (35-60):

Beyond the 35th mark, it’s crucial to monitor metabolic disorders. Here’s what you should be screening for:

-Acid reflux
–Cholesterol levels
-Blood sugar (glucose)
-Blood pressure

Why Regular Check-ups Matter

Regular screenings are not about seeking sickness but understanding your body better. Early detection can prevent:

-Sudden health scares
-Chronic illnesses
-Financial burden from extensive treatments

Staying Accountable

Checking off that annual check-up box isn’t just about ticking off a resolution. It’s about understanding that health isn’t a destination but a journey. Staying accountable to your health today is investing in a tomorrow free from preventable health crises.

So, as you set your New Year’s resolutions this year, don’t forget to pencil in your health check-up, and stick to it. It’s about more than just Januarys; it’s about starting a new chapter in your health journey.

Neighbor Reveals Disabled Man as Wife’s Killer in Banyumas

by Chief Editor December 28, 2024
written by Chief Editor

Banyumas Man with Disability Arrested After Fatally Beating Wife

A man identified by the initials FA (27), a resident of Grumbul Sidayasa, Kedungrandu Village, Patikraja District, Banyumas Regency, surrendered to police on Saturday (28/7) after allegedly fatally beating his wife, J (27), with a flathead screwdriver. The incident occurred on Friday (27/7) evening.

Local resident Siran (52), who is acquainted with the suspect, revealed that FA is a former peddler of Bangkok chickens. Due to his disability, he now runs his business online, with customers picking up their purchases at his residence.

"The suspect used to sell Bangkok chickens on the street, but now he sells them online. Customers come to his house to pick up their orders," Siran told reporters.

Siran also shared that the victim, J, worked as a maid and that the couple often argued due to the suspect’s jealous nature. He suspected J of cheating on him.

"They used to fight a lot. The suspect would often accuse his wife of cheating on him. I’ve tried to mediate their disputes several times," Siran said.

The suspect’s disability was the result of a farming accident some years ago, according to Siran. FA moved to his current residence about two years ago, where he has been living with his wife, mother, and a young niece.

"His child is about 8 years old. The wife sent the child away before the incident," Siran revealed.

FA confessed to killing J with a flathead screwdriver, striking her on the back of the neck. Police later found J’s body lying on the bed in their room.

Earlier reports stated that a deadly assault involving a married couple had occurred in Grumbul Sidayasa, Kedungrandu Village. The couple, both aged 27, were identified as FA and J.

Kedungrandu police chief, Commissioner Andryansyah Rithas Hasibuan, confirmed the incident and the suspect’s arrest. He also revealed that the motive behind the murder was likely jealousy, as FA suspected J of infidelity.

"The suspect was outraged by the possibility of his wife cheating on him. The wife’s phone was found in FA’s possession. The victim’s body has been sent for an autopsy," Andryansyah said.

This is a developing story, and further updates will be provided as more information becomes available. (aku/aku)
