Man Arrested for Stabbing Ex-Partner in Oslo Awake and Cooperative with Police
OSLO — The man suspected of stabbing his ex-partner in Oslo before Christmas has regained consciousness and is cooperating with police, his lawyer confirmed today. The suspect and his 20-something ex-partner are both in stable condition after the incident on December 20, which left them with serious injuries.
The suspect was initially placed in an induced coma after the attack but has since shown improvement. His lawyer, Helene Elness, told NTB that he is physically weak but recovering, and is deeply remorseful for his actions.
"We’ve started the interrogations, but we’re not done yet," Elness said in a text message. The suspect is charged with attempted murder.
Police confirm that the suspect arrived at the scene before the stabbing and that the pair had previously been in a relationship.
