"To achieve a just resolution between Russia and Ukraine, we need leverage," Sullivan stated, highlighting that "sustained military support to Ukraine is that leverage." The adviser also acknowledged Trump’s potential to make unexpected diplomatic strides, given his inexperience in international affairs and ability to surprise adversaries.
Moreover, Sullivan praised the outgoing administration’s efforts, asserting that Biden leaves Trump with a strong global position. "We’re handing off a very strong position for the United States, in terms of our national power… competitors and antagonists of America are weaker and under more pressure than before," he noted.
