Ubisoft Reveals the Future of Assassin’s Creed

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla New Game Plus Update Arrives Six Years After Launch

Ubisoft announced that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will receive a dedicated New Game+ mode on November 5, 2026, arriving six years after the action game’s initial November 2020 release, Gameliner reported. The upcoming patch follows a massive player milestone for the title, which has now been played by more than forty million players worldwide.

The long-awaited feature will allow players to restart Eivor’s journey while retaining a significant portion of their existing progress. Alongside the mode itself, the publisher is introducing an optional progression system where Gear, Runes, and Masteries combine to contribute to Eivor’s total Power. IGN Benelux noted that the update also introduces a new crafting material called Mithril, which players can use to upgrade divine equipment.

Black Flag Resynced Update 1.0.8 Adds Nightmare Mode and Final Major Content

While Valhalla prepares for its late-stage addition, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced received its final major content update on October 27, 2026, at 15:00 Dutch time, according to That’s Gaming. Developed by Ubisoft Singapore, update 1.0.8 brings the heavily requested New Game Plus mode alongside a punishing new difficulty setting known as Nightmare Mode.

Nightmare Mode adapts the intense combat parameters previously seen in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Players can unlock iconic items such as Blackbeard’s outfit and Edward’s London attire, alongside fresh cosmetic upgrades for the Jackdaw and her crew.

However, the publisher has not confirmed whether the dark, narrative-driven experience will also launch that same year.
