Breaking News: Indonesia Announces Official 2025 Hajj Fees
Jakarta, Indonesia – In a joint decision, the House of Representatives (DPR) Committee on Hajj (Panja) and the government have agreed on the Biaya Penyelenggaraan Ibadah Haji (BPIH) and Biaya Perjalanan Ibadah Haji (Bipih) for the Hajj season of 1446 H/2025 M. The agencies have settled on a Bipih amount of IDR 55,431,750 per pilgrim.
The agreement was reached during a Panja meeting held at the DPR building in Senayan, Jakarta, on Monday, January 6, 2025. The meeting was chaired by Panja Chairman Abdul Wachid and attended by various high-ranking officials, including Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar, Deputy Minister Romo Syafi’i, and Director General of Hajj and Umrah (PHU) at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Hilman Latief.
Chairman Abdul Wachid announced the total BPIH for the 2025 Hajj season at IDR 89,010,258.79. Meanwhile, the direct payment to be made by each pilgrim, known as Bipih, is set at IDR 55,431,750.
Earlier, Hilman Latief had proposed setting Bipih at IDR 55 million, with a calculated profit of IDR 34,073,267, representing 38% of the Bipih total. The government has accepted this proposal, finalizing the figures for the upcoming Hajj season.
