Roman Reigns defeated Undisputed WWE Champion Sami Zayn with a clean pinfall following a spear in the main event of WWE Crown Jewel on Nov. 7, 2026, at The Venue in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Bleacher Report reported that the victory sets up long-term plans for Survivor Series and WrestleMania, while Fox News noted that Reigns offered Zayn a post-match embrace.
Roman Reigns Defeats Sami Zayn at Crown Jewel
Sami Zayn entered the main event carrying the Undisputed WWE Championship, while Roman Reigns held the World Heavyweight Championship in a match where the world titles were not on the line. Fox News reported that the crowd in Riyadh backed Zayn from the opening bell, attempting to rattle Reigns throughout the contest. Reigns ultimately neutralized the support, hit a decisive spear, and pinned Zayn to secure the victory.
Bleacher Report noted that the outcome was a measured decision designed to align with ongoing faction storylines rather than a surprise result. The match carried years of historical baggage stemming from Zayn’s previous tenure inside The Bloodline as an “honorary Uce,” a dynamic highlighted by CBS Sports.

The Post-Match Embrace in Riyadh
Following the final bell, Zayn demanded that Reigns shake his hand in the center of the ring to acknowledge the respect he earned during his career. Fox News reported that instead of a handshake, Reigns delivered a passionate hug and addressed Zayn directly.
Youâre not honorary. Youâre an Uso,
Reigns declared in the ring, according to Fox News.
The emotional moment added another layer to a multi-year storyline between the two competitors. Fox News noted that the win adds the Crown Jewel Championship and the Crown Jewel ring to Reigns’ resume, which includes seven world championships and two Royal Rumble victories.
Royce Keys and The 946 faction target Reigns
Bleacher Report reported that Reigns’ clean win serves a strategic purpose for upcoming brand warfare leading into Survivor Series: WarGames. While analysts at CBS Sports and ESPN anticipated potential interference from Royce Keys and his stable known as The 946, no outside interference materialized during the main event.
Fox News noted that Cruz Montana joined the Royce Keys-led faction on Monday Night Raw, establishing them as a primary threat to Reigns and The Bloodline. Bleacher Report analysis indicates that utilizing Reigns’ star power against the younger members of The 946 positions the stable for high-profile matches at the upcoming premium live event.
