Harьkov Under Fire: Multiple Air Raid Alerts and Ukraine exchange record numbers of drone strikes”>Drone Strikes Reported
Harьkov residents have been on high alert since dawn as air raid sirens wailed across the city for the fourth time today. The latest alert was sounded at 14:54 local time. Social media platforms buzzed with reports of explosions, which were later confirmed by Harьkov Mayor Igor Tereхов.
"An incoming drone, presumed to be a ‘Mолния’, was detected on the border of Kyivskyi and Saltivskyi districts," Tereхов stated. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
Oleg Синегубов, Head of the Harьkov Regional Military Administration, clarified that the strike was recorded around 14:40 and occurred on an open territory.
In an update at 15:30, it was revealed that a private residence was damaged in the drone strike.
Recently, Russian forces launched a nighttime drone attack on Ukraine on January 5. Over 100 unmanned aerial vehicles were released from three directions: Bryansk, Millerovo, and Orel. Ukrainian air defenses successfully downed 61 drones and disabled 42 more across several regions, including Harьkov. The strike resulted in damage to private properties and injuries to three individuals in the Harьkov region.
President Volodymyr Зелений disclosed that foreign-produced components totaling 8755 were discovered in the drones used in today’s attack.
