Researchers from 12 countries have launched the World Diet Initiative, a global project designed to document and analyze heritage diets before they disappear. The goal is to translate these insights into modern health benefits, such as improved vaccine responses and the prevention of chronic illnesses like cardiovascular disease and diabetes.
