Former radio host Kyle Sandilands revealed on The Karl Stefanovic Show that his bank offered surprising support following his February sacking from the KIIS FM breakfast show, according to an interview on Sunday.
Bank Support and Friend Offers After KIIS FM Sacking
According to Mr Sandilands, his financial institution reached out with unexpected backing after he lost his breakfast show. “The bank call was refreshingly surprising, they couldn’t have been better,” he said during the interview with Karl Stefanovic. “Cos I’ve always thought these guys are a**holes when you’re at your worst that’s when they kick, stab, stab, that’s what I thought, it’s like a jailyard pile-on. But they were great.”
Friends also stepped forward with offers of substantial financial assistance. “My friends are offering bags of money, ‘do you want a million dollars’, ‘do you want this’, ‘what do you need’,” Mr Sandilands said. “I was like, ‘thank you but no’.”

Addressing his financial stability, Mr Sandilands explained that he was one year into a 10-year investment plan when the dismissal occurred. According to the broadcaster, he had recently committed $3 million toward renovating holiday homes and constructing a large property in the mountains.
“I know I look flashing it all around and pi**ing all the money away but we’ve actually got quite a good investment portfolio, property portfolio, company shares, but you can’t liquidate that,” he stated. He attributed the sudden disruption of his plans to “someone’s bad mood,” adding that he still does not know the real reason behind the termination and will not speak to Ms Henderson until her court proceedings conclude.

According to the former shock jock, critics have actively celebrated the end of the radio partnership.
“People would think, ‘he’s crushed’. There are people rejoicing and stamping all over the death and the ashes of both of us. But let them. They’ve got very little joy in their heart, those trolls,” he said.
More seriously, Mr Sandilands revealed he has been the target of direct violence. “There was death threats and letters in my office explaining, ‘If you ever do anything on any platform, we’ll kill you, we’ll hunt you down’,” he told Mr Stefanovic. “I know these people are lunatics but what if just one of those lunatics has a weapon? We are living in a very strange society.”
