Support systems, including therapy and school counselors, can play a pivotal role in helping children navigate such trauma. The case of the 10-year-old in the Indian story showcases the vulnerability and helplessness of children caught in adult conflicts.

The Role of Social Media in Personal Lives

The involvement of Facebook highlights social media’s double-edged sword. While it connects people and creates communities, it can also facilitate questionable relationships and behaviors. A study by Pew Center Research in 2021 found that47 % of adults reported encountering someone with whom they had connected online but never met, underlining the vast and sometimes anonymous influence of social media.

Managing Online Risks: A Pro-tip

The Groom-to-Be Who Abandons His Fiancée at Another Woman’s Baby Shower

Headline: Heartbroken Bride-To-Be Abandoned at Altar After Fiancé’s Infidelity

Subhead: Surabaya woman’s 6-year relationship ends in disaster as fiancé leaves her on their wedding day to be with another woman he got pregnant.

Article:

SURABAYA, Indonesia – Tsaniyya Asmara Sutjipto’s dream of a 6-year love story culminating in a happily ever after wedding turned into a nightmare when her fiancé abandoned her at the altar, choosing to be with another woman he had impregnated.

Tsaniyya, a 26-year-old resident of Tambaksari, Surabaya, had been in a relationship with her fiancé, identified only by the initial ‘A’, since their university days. After six years together, they decided to take their relationship to the next level and got engaged, planning to marry in December 2024.

"I was with him for 6 years. We hardly ever fought. He was quiet, not much of a talker, and I thought he was loyal," Tsaniyya recalled in an interview with detikJatim at her home on Tuesday (7/1/2025).

Their plans began to unravel in late October when ‘A’ confessed to having impregnated another woman. Despite the betrayal, Tsaniyya was willing to forgive and continue with the wedding, hoping they could work through the issue afterward.

"At that point, it was already late October, just a month away from the wedding. I thought we could deal with it after the ceremony," she said.

On the eve of their wedding, December 26, 2024, Tsaniyya and her family were hosting a walimahan (pre-wedding ceremony) at their home. ‘A’ was nowhere to be found, instead choosing to visit the other woman he had gotten pregnant.

Tsaniyya and her family were summoned to ‘A’s’ house, where they found the other woman’s family demanding answers. After a heated argument, ‘A’ agreed to go through with the wedding, signing a document acknowledging his responsibility and providing a copy of his ID as a witness.

The wedding was set for December 29, 2024. On the morning of the wedding, Tsaniyya was still in contact with ‘A’, who even sent her a voice recording of their wedding vows. However, as the ceremony approached, ‘A’ stopped responding to Tsaniyya’s messages and calls.

"When the time for the ceremony came, the KUA (Civil Registration Office) and the penghulu (wedding officiant) had to cancel the akad (wedding ceremony) because the groom was missing. My cousin had to stand in for him during the reception," Tsaniyya recounted, her voice heavy with emotion.

During the reception, ‘A’s’ parents arrived and explained that their son had gone missing after stopping by a nearby food stall to buy some food. They chose to stay and participate in the reception, standing on stage as if nothing was amiss.

Tsaniyya, the eldest of two siblings, is now left to pick up the pieces of her shattered dreams. She hopes that her story will serve as a cautionary tale for others, reminding them of the importance of open communication and trust in a relationship.

"Until the very end, I never suspected he would do something like this. I hope no one else has to go through what I’ve been through," she said.

KPK Uncovers Flash Drive in Child’s Room, Disputing Claims of Hasto Ownership

KPK Seizes Flash Drive During Raid on PDIP Secretary-General Hasto Kristiyanto‘s House; PDIP Denies Involvement

In a significant development, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has reportedly seized a flash drive during a raid on the residence of PDIP Secretary-General, Hasto Kristiyanto. This seizure is part of an ongoing investigation into a bribery case involving PDIP politician, Harun Masiku. The PDIP’s legal team has since responded, claiming that the flash drive was found in the room of Mr. Kristiyanto’s child.

Johanes Tobing, a part of PDIP’s legal team, revealed this information at a press conference held at the PDIP Central Executive Board’s office in Jakarta. He stated, "The flash drive was discovered on the second floor in the room of Mr. Kristiyanto’s child." However, Mr. Tobing clarified that the child did not own the flash drive, and the child was not aware of its presence. Furthermore, the PDIP’s legal team asserted that the seized flash drive did not belong to Mr. Kristiyanto either, as confirmed by the latter.

In addition to the flash drive, the KPK also confiscated a small notebook during the raid. Mr. Tobing revealed that this notebook belonged to one of Mr. Kristiyanto’s staff, Kusnadi, and contained business-related notes he had previously shared with his brother.

PDIP had previously expressed puzzlement over the KPK using a suitcase to transport the seized items, despite only confiscating the flash drive and notebook. In response, Asep Guntur Rahayu, the Director of Investigations at KPK, explained that the suitcase was used for safekeeping, asserting that it ensured the safety and protection of the seized items. He further explained that using a suitcase was a more secure method than using plastic bags, which could potentially lead to items being misplaced or damaged.

As the investigation continues, both KPK and PDIP have stressed the importance of maintaining transparency and a fair process. This high-profile case is being closely watched by the public and political observers alike.

The couple and their daughter were among the victims of a fatal bus crash involving Sakhindra Trans bus with license plate DK 7949 GB on Thursday evening. The out-of-control bus collided with ten motorcycles and six four-wheeled vehicles, leaving 14 people injured, four of them fatally.

Nurturing Picky Eaters: Strategies for Children in Free Nutritious Meal Programs

by Chief Editor January 9, 2025

Free School Meal Program: Not Every Child is a Fan, Say Testimonials

The free school meal program (Program Makan Bergizi Gratis – PMBG) has begun at schools across the country, aiming to provide students with nutritious food. However, not all children are enthused about the meals being served, according to testimonials circulating on social media.

Some children reportedly refuse to finish their meals, while others pick out the vegetables. Dr. dr. Tan Shot Yen, M.Hum, a dietitian, shared that various factors can contribute to a child becoming fussy about food, including habits learned at home and health conditions.

Dr. Tan acknowledged that it’s challenging for the PMBG to cater to the diverse tastes of all children. She advised responsible parties to address this issue creatively. "There are many instances of children not eating their vegetables, leaving them behind," Dr. Tan said during a press briefing by the Indonesian Medical Association (Ikatan Dokter Indonesia – IDI) on Wednesday (8/1/2025). "We need initiatives, but not by turning the vegetables into snacks to entice kids."

She suggested that dietitians involved in the program should explore various vegetable combinations to make them more appealing to children. Dr. Tan also emphasized the importance of post-program evaluation and dialogue with children who leave their food uneaten. "We should engage them in conversation to understand the real problem," she added.

Health issues can also lead to picky eating. Dr. Tan cited dental problems like tooth decay, which is prevalent among children. She explained that poor dental health can negatively impact a child’s eating habits and overall health. "We need to address this comprehensively; the solution can’t just be adjusting the food to children’s liking, or we’ll end up with meals full of deep-fried snacks," she warned.

"Faithful Dog’s Heartbreaking Wait for Lost Family in Jeju Air Tragedy"

by Chief Editor January 3, 2025
written by Chief Editor

Title: Devoted Dog Waits for Months After Family Perishes in Korea’s Deadliest Air Disaster

In the wake of South Korea‘s worst-ever aviation disaster, a heartwarming tale of loyalty and resilience has emerged from the small town of Yeonggwang. A dog named Pudding has been making headlines for its steadfast wait for its family, who were among the 179 victims of the tragic Jeju Air crash.

Care, a local animal rights organization, stepped in to help after receiving reports from concerned residents about Pudding lingering in the area. Upon arriving in Yeonggwang, they found the dog sitting quietly outside the village hall, seemingly still expecting its family to return.

After consulting with the bereaved family, Care was granted temporary custody of Pudding until a suitable permanent home can be found. The dog was immediately taken to a veterinary clinic for a health check-up. Initial examinations revealed worrisome signs, including the presence of harmful foods like garlic and chicken bones in its vomit, likely picked up while foraging during its prolonged stay outdoors.

Pudding’s plight first captured public attention last month when media reported on the desolate dog roaming a Yeonggwang village alone. It was later revealed that the dog’s elderly owner was among the victims of the devastating Jeju Air crash, which occurred on a fateful evening in late December.

Pudding’s owner, a 79-year-old man, was traveling with his 68-year-old wife, 46-year-old son, and several grandchildren when the tragic incident occurred. Even after learning of their demise, Pudding would consistently wait near their home, watching for their return.

In a heartrending display of devotion, Pudding continued to wait for its family despite the passage of time and the arrival of the new year. This enduring bond serves as a poignant reminder of the deep connections that can exist between humans and their pets.

As South Korea mourning the loss of life in the disastrous plane crash and caring for the many survivors, Pudding’s story serves as a beacon of hope and resilience in the face of tragedy. Care is now working to provide Pudding with the love and care it so desperately needs, ensuring that this loyal dog will never again have to face hardship alone.

Sighted: North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un with Two Children, Supposedly His Daughters

Headline:
Exclusive: Spy Agency Analyzes Footage of Kim Jong Un‘s Sister, Kim Yo Jong, with Two Children

Subhead:
North Korean leader’s sibling spotted with two young children, sparking speculation about her personal life

Article:

In a rare glimpse into the private life of one of North Korea’s most powerful figures, South Korean intelligence agencies have begun analyzing footage that appears to show Kim Yo Jong, the younger sister of leader Kim Jong Un, with two children.

The undated video, obtained by the Associated Press (AP), captures Kim Yo Jong acompañado by two young children, a boy and a girl, attending a cultural performance in Pyongyang. The brother and sister duo could be seen walking hand in hand, an intimate display unusual for North Korea’s famously closed-off society.

Little is known about Kim Yo Jong’s personal life, with Pyongyang refusing to confirm whether she is married or has children. However, South Korea‘s National Intelligence Service (NIS) has previously hinted at the possibility, stating that they believe she has offspring. The children in the new video fall within the age range estimated by intelligence agencies.

The event attended by Kim Yo Jong is believed to be a performance held as part of the New Year celebrations. While participation in such events is typically expected of senior officials, the public rarely gets to see North Korea’s elite leaders accompanied by their family members, especially children.

Kim Jong Un himself has been seen with a daughter, Ju Ae, in state media releases, but experts caution that these appearances should be viewed with skepticism, citing the regime’s penchant for using such displays as propaganda to "humanize" the leadership.

"These kinds of appearances have been part of a trend since early 2022, showing high-level apparatchiks in Kim’s inner circle attending special events or contributing to disaster relief efforts with family members," said [expert’s name], an analyst with NK News.

Kim Yo Jong, born in 1988, is one of the sons of former leader Kim Jong Il. She studied in Switzerland alongside her brother, and South Korean intelligence first reported in 2015 that she had given birth. She later became pregnant again during a trip to South Korea in 2018 for the PyeongChang Winter Olympics.

7 Compelled Statements: Arimbi’s Ex-Husband Accused of Filing False Rape Report

by Chief Editor December 29, 2024
written by Chief Editor

Title: Woman Arimbi Claims Ex-Husband Yudi Forced Her to File False Rape Report; Refutes Seven-Year-Old Allegation

In a stunning turn of events, Arimbi, a 39-year-old woman from Solo, Java, has accused her former husband, Yudi, of coercing her to file a false rape report against a man with the initial ‘D’. This claim has resurfaced after Yudi presented the case during a hearing at the Commission III of the House of Representatives (DPR) on Thursday, December 19, 2024.

Arimbi’s lawyer, Muhammad Arnaz, revealed that Arimbi was willing to share her side of the story in front of the commission. "We will ask for the opportunity to have Arimbi tell her side. We want the truth about what really happened to be exposed," Arnaz stated during a press conference in a location in Grogol, Sukoharjo Regency, on Friday, December 27, 2024.

Arimbi alleged that she and her child, K, were coerced by Yudi to file a false report with the police in 2017, accusing ‘D’ of rape. Accompanied by Yudi, Arimbi went to the police station to file the fabricated report. Later, when Yudi wasn’t around, Arimbi informed the police that she had filed a false report.

Arimbi clarified that she ended her marriage with Yudi after being forced to make the false accusation. She described Yudi as having a temperamental and drug-addicted personality. "He was always suspicious, and when I didn’t give him the answers he wanted, he would turn to ‘D’," Arimbi explained.

Arimbi strongly denied being raped or suffering any form of abuse from ‘D’. She stated, "I’ve never been a victim of rape, not even once. This whole thing is just his jealousy targeting ‘D’." She also revealed that she had been a victim of domestic violence at the hands of Yudi.

Arimbi expressed concern for her child, who she said had been manipulated by Yudi to claim that he had been abused. "My child has suffered from this for seven years. I ask that he be removed from this situation and given to me," she pleaded.

In an unexpected revelation, Arimbi acknowledged that she had told Yudi she was raped by ‘D’ in the past, but that she had lied to protect herself while being held captive by Yudi for three days. She believes that Yudi misinterpreted her initial confession as a lie, leading him to orchestrate the false rape report.

Arimbi also shared that she managed to retract the false report on her own, without being coerced or threatened. She hopes that by coming forward and sharing her story, she can finally put an end to this seven-year-long accusation.

She concluded, "All I want is for the truth to come out. I’m ready to face whatever consequences may come my way, as long as I can clear my name and protect my child."
