The Tol Tangerang-Merak highway in Banten witnessed a tragic turn of events when a rented car boss was fatally shot during the early morning hours of January 2nd. Hunt for Perpetrators Ongoing

The police are still pursuing the suspects involved in the murder of the car rental boss in the Rest Area KM 45 of the Tangerang-Merak Toll Road. The head of the Criminal Investigations Unit (Satreskrim) of the Tangerang Police (Polresta Tangerang), Purba, revealed that they have identified the perpetrators through CCTV footage analysis.

"We have identified several suspects, and our Criminal Intelligence Unit is still in the field for the arrest process," he said, as reported by Antara. The police have also recovered evidence from the scene, including a Brio car in orange and a shotgun shell, and suspect that a pistol was used. Forensic ballistic testing has confirmed that the weapon used was a pistol, not an airsoft gun.

Earlier, it was reported that there were four suspects involved in the incident, according to the Chief of Police (Kapolresta) of Tangerang, Kombes Baktiar Joko Mujiono. He noted that the suspects arrived at the scene using two cars.
