A day in traffic: four pedestrians injured

Yesterday at 10.29 am a traffic accident occurred at the Sarapuu public transport stop on Kose Road in Tallinn, where a 40-year-old man crashed a Mercedes-Benz GLS 350D 4MATIC car into a 22-year-old woman who was crossing the road on a pedestrian crossing. The pedestrian was transported to hospital.

At 16:45 a traffic accident occurred in Tallinn near the Pärnu 41A road, where a 36-year-old woman met an 11-year-old girl who was crossing the road on an unregulated pedestrian crossing with a Škoda Fabia car. The pedestrian was transported to hospital.

At 5.50 pm a road accident occurred on Reinu tee 12 in the village of Lubja, Viimsi municipality, Harju county, where a 33-year-old man lost control of his Chrysler Town&Country car and went off the road. The driver of the Chrysler was taken to hospital.

At 8.26pm a road accident occurred in Keila, Harjumaa, near Paldiski mt.50, where a 44-year-old woman drove a Volkswagen Passat into a 15-year-old girl and a 16-year-old girl. who were crossing the road on an unregulated pedestrian crossing. The pedestrians were transported to hospital.

At 7pm, a road accident occurred in Kurtna village, Saku municipality, Harju county, on the Kurtna-Vilivere road, where a 19-year-old man was driving a Volkswagen Polo car, lost control and collided with an oncoming vehicle. Kia Sportage car driven by a 44-year-old woman. The driver of the Kia and the passenger of the Volkswagen, a 19-year-old woman, were taken to hospital.

At 11.47pm a road accident occurred in the village of Tareste in Hiiu County, at the 29th kilometer of the Heltermaa-Kärdla-Luidja road, where a 36-year-old man went off the road with a BMW X5. The driver of the BMW was taken to hospital.

The Transport Authority warns that this morning the roads are slippery and the highways between the tracks are covered in snow.
