Yesterday at 3.48pm a road accident occurred in Narva-Jõesuu, where a 57-year-old woman lost control of her Škoda Fabia car and flew into the oncoming lane, where she collided with an oncoming Volkswagen Transporter driven by a 53-year-old man. Following the collision, the Škoda was thrown forward and collided with a BMW driven by a 69-year-old man. The driver of the Škoda and the BMW were transported to hospital.
At 18:42 a traffic accident occurred in the Lüganus municipality of Ida-Virumaa on kilometer 142 of the Tallinn-Narva highway, where a 39-year-old man lost control of a Volvo FH-400 truck with a trailer due to on the slippery road and went off the road. The driver was transported to hospital. According to preliminary data, the overturned car was carrying shale oil.
There were no reports of stolen or recovered vehicles.
