A happy accident: People willing to help saved a dog frozen on a piece of ice on Viims beach

When we returned home, the dog was defrosted with a hair dryer and fed well. Then they asked for help from the director of the emergency room, Kristina Siimann, who investigated the area to see if the Animal Rescue Group could bring the person in difficulty to them for a check-up and take over the payment of the bill.

In the clinic

Valner adds that no significant problem was found in the clinic and, thanks to the always correct behavior of Siiri and Roco, the tiny sailor did not even have obvious signs of hypothermia. “One tooth was loose for some reason and came out on its own when Dr. Anu Poopuu examined his mouth and briefly placed his hand on it. Something is wrong and the owner has to go to the dentist with his pupil, but everything else seemed to be first rate,” describes the man. Luckily the dog was also equipped with a chip and a registry record and so the owner could be informed about his adventures.

Valner writes that, according to the owner, he was walking his dog in the port of Miiduranna, when suddenly Cooper disappeared like pond ash. The proceeds from the research did not increase and the concern began to raise its head more and more. The dog probably didn’t go ashore, but walked along the pier towards the sea and remained in the shade of the rocks.

However, the same large icy stones created problems and Cooper probably slipped, fell into the water and then got stuck on the next stone, which was already in the middle of the water. It’s a miracle that he managed to climb there, because the rocks were still under a solid ice cap and climbing them would have been too much even for a human being. Fortunately, it was a lucky accident and today the dog has recovered from the adventures.
