Actor Jamie Foxx on his near-death experience: You wouldn’t wish this on your enemy

Foxx, who survived a health ordeal, received an award for this year’s film “Burial” and went on to accept it, taking the stage alone. However, Foxx announced that six months ago he would not be able to go on stage.

“I’m not a clone! A lot of people think I was cloned,” Foxx joked as he accepted his award at the Vanguard Hotel in Fairmount Plaza. “It’s good to be here. I appreciate every minute of my life now, things are different. I wouldn’t wish what I had to go through on my worst enemy. It’s very difficult when your life is almost over and you already have a narrow vision. I could see the tunnel, but no light. It was awful hot there in the tunnel. I don’t know where I’m going. ‘Damn, am I in the right place?’ I thought to myself,” Foxx said in the speech.
