The security situation in eastern DRC remains precarious. In the early morning hours of Saturday, February 17, bombs coming from Rwanda hit Goma international airport and destroyed some civilian planes.
“I say: you are neighbors, you have no choice. We say at home: “We choose a friend, we do not choose a neighbor”. Rwanda and Congo are neighbors, you have a duty to cooperate, so, on that side, we will have to find [une solution]. The President of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has been staying, since last Friday, in Addis Ababa, capital of Ethiopia, to take part in the mini-summit organized by his Angolan counterpart Lourenço.
