Aivar Riisalu’s (62) fifth daughter, Karine Katariina, was born last year. The girl’s mother is Anneli Karlson (42), who lives in Pärnu, whom Aivar met as early as 2005. At that time, they had a short relationship, and then each of their lives went their separate ways. When they met again three years ago, both Aivar and Anneli were in a state where their relationship no longer worked. “Anneli looked back on her life, just like I did at one point,” Aivar recalls.
Aivar is currently still married to Marina Riisalu, whom he married in 2009, but their life together is over. “We took some time to calm down and then we will look forward. I’m not in a hurry to divorce, that’s what I told him. I don’t want to hurt anyone,” says Aivar. He adds that any reasonable person understands that his situation is more exceptional than average: “I would like to point out, more exceptional than average. However, I do not advise anyone to fight with nature, because the result is phenomenal. A child offers so many unique moments.”
