An incredible story! In Muhu, a Tibetan mastiff gave birth to 19 puppies – TV3

Heli Säre, veterinarian at Muhu Animal Clinic, said that 15 or 16 puppies were counted from the x-ray. “But when I acted as emperor, I shouted to the others that there’s another one coming, listen, there’s one more, listen, there’s one more! And so there were 19 in total.” According to the vet, this could be the largest dog family in Estonia.

Yesterday the puppies had their first medical examination and all 19 puppies are healthy and alive. At birth the animals weighed 300 grams and now, a week later, they weigh exactly half that, i.e. 600 grams.

Säre praised Yamiko’s owner, who managed to come to the clinic in time to perform a cesarean section on her mother dog. “Unfortunately, these cubs would not be with us today,” Heli said.

It’s a true miracle, and one of the reasons why the new litter was so large could be the fact that the puppies’ father’s name is Power.
