Assessment of political parties: Socialists with new members set consensus record, EKRE is in decline

The latest aggregate results reflect the survey period from December 11 to January 12 and a total of 4,001 citizens of the Republic of Estonia of voting age were interviewed.

Since the end of last year, support for Isamaa, which occupies the first position, has remained between 26 and 27%. EKRE support has fallen by 1.5 percentage points in a week, and compared to mid-December, National Conservative support is currently 2.5 percentage points lower. Support for the third-placed Reform Party has not changed significantly in recent weeks.

The top three are followed by the Center Party (14.1%), SDE (12.3%) and Eesti 200 (6%). Over the past two weeks, the Center Party’s support has fallen by 1.1 percentage points. Support for the SDE increased by 1.4 percentage points in the week and is at its highest level since early 2019, when Norstat began conducting polls on party preferences.

We also highlight the results of the last week (sample 1000), as they sometimes differ significantly from the results of the last four weeks (sample 4001).

According to the results of the last week, 27.3% support the Fatherland, 17.5% support the Reform Party and 16.1% support the SDE. The top three are followed by EKRE with 15.3%, Center Party with 12.3% and Eesti 200 with 5.3%.

A total of 35.9% of respondents support the coalition party and 59.1% support the opposition party.
