Late last year, Hoog, which sold electric scooter rental services in small towns, found a new business direction: The company now also offers taxi services to users.
Initially the new service will be tested in Rapla, but following the success of the pilot project an expansion is also planned. “We can offer people different driving services in the form of pilot projects. In the case of small towns we can collect statistics and gain experience for the future. We are testing different options and, since the processes take place on a small scale, we are able to implement changes quickly. If everything works, we will expand and do the same thing again, but just on a larger scale,” explained Sam Schmidt, the company’s head of social media.
Schmidt added that this idea has been in their minds for a long time and that in addition to the scooter offer, a taxi service has also been developed in parallel. “The goal is to add other transport services in addition to scooters, which give our customers the possibility to choose between means of transport. Whether it’s a scooter or a taxi.”
