The amount of Mediterranean fishing is shrinking in Morocco
During the first quarter of this year, the amount of marine fishing products unloaded in ports and fishing villages on the Mediterranean coast of northern Morocco recorded a decrease of 12 percent compared to the same period in 2023.
The National Fisheries Office reported, in its latest report on coastal and traditional fishing statistics in Morocco, that the total volume of unloaded marine fishing products in Mediterranean ports between January and March last year amounted to 4,363 tons, compared to 4,974 tons last year.
