US Economy Faces Challenges as GDP Slows and Inflation Rises

The Current State of the Economy

The recent GDP report indicates a slowdown in economic growth, despite the overall stability of the economy. The Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) ⁣revealed that U.S. gross ⁣domestic product (GDP) fell more than‌ anticipated in the first quarter of the year. This decline contrasts ⁢with the previous quarter’s growth of 3.4%, with‌ the latest estimate ⁢showing a 1.6% increase.

Various factors contributed to this deceleration, including reduced consumer spending, exports, and government expenditures. However, residential fixed investment saw an uptick, offsetting some of the slowdown. Analysts were surprised by the speed of the decline, attributing it to the waning government support and the fading effects of Covid-era stimulus measures.

Despite the dip in GDP, consumer spending remains robust, particularly evident in increased imports. While the first quarter GDP figures may be subject to revisions, experts caution against interpreting this as a significant downturn in the economy.

“The giant BHP wants to buy Anglo American not for its diamonds but for its copper”

PTo make your fortune, ditch the diamonds and follow the copper. The ancient metal, as old as agriculture, is worth gold today. And it’s much easier to find. All the little thugs are currently discovering a passion for telecommunications networks, which they plunder to resell the metal on the black market. They are not the only ones to succumb to this new fever caused by the energy transition.

The world’s leading mining group, the Australian BHP, announced this Thursday, April 25, that it was proposing a merger with its competitor, the South African Anglo American, owner of the diamond king De Beers, but also of immense copper mines in Chile. This would in fact be a pur

Ford’s EV quarterly sales fall 84% in one year – Picture & Sound – News

Not burning fossil fuels is good, but producing those batteries (mining raw materials) is obviously extremely bad for the environment, and you will soon find yourself with a huge mountain of spent batteries in your stomach.

It will be much harder than you think. Depreciated solar panels are a problem that will bother people in the future. But not the batteries.

Because at that point it will already be profitable to recycle. I now live in South America. The gap between rich and poor is relatively wide. But there are still many poor people who ride around on 3-wheel motorized flatbeds and go around every month to collect old batteries. And they know all the tricks to make it look like new again. And if you have a person like that who really knows what he’s doing, then you really need to look with a magnifying glass to see if you can spot the traces of laundering.

You won’t come across this easily in the Netherlands, but here in this part of the world, recycling pays off quickly. This will certainly be no different for electric vehicle batteries. Ok, the batteries aren’t exactly the same as those in an electric vehicle, nor is the scaling up, but the fact that recycling pays off quickly is no different here.

Now I live in the subtropical part of South America, so the battery is mainly used to power cooling systems (fridge/fridge, fans and possibly air conditioning). Here solar heat is more than sufficient. Here I have a ‘solar water heater’, a scaffolding with a 200 liter water tank on top and with about 12 glass tubes protruding from it, sloping

Naver’s stock price, once ranked third in KOSPI market capitalization, continues to fall. Naver, which is in a fierce battle for market share with Chinese e-commerce companies such as AliExpress and Temu, saw its stock price fall by more than 18% this year alone. Recently, there has been a double negative factor of Line Yahoo’s share reduction, but some in the securities market believe that the drop in stock prices is excessive.

As of 9:30 am on the 26th, Naver is trading at 182,900 won, an increase of 200 (0.10%) from the previous day.

The day before, Naver closed trading at 182,700 won, down 18.44% this year alone. Naver’s KOSPI market cap ranking rose to 3rd place at the end of July 2021, but the position changed as interest rates rose. Investment sentiment towards growth stocks began to freeze and sink, with the stock falling from 8th in market cap at the end of last year to 10th now.
