Classic Radio’s Christmas program is full of Christmas music | Music

Classic Radio’s Christmas program brings the Christmas spirit into the listener’s home. Festive concerts with special musical moments from the Estonian Concert Hall and European Concert Halls and a large selection of Christmas carols are on the air.

Klara Klassika, an online classical radio station, transforms into a Christmas classics radio during the holidays and plays from the 22nd to the 26th. Non-stop Christmas carols until December. Klara Klassika can be found both online and in the new Eesti Raadio mobile app.

Classical Radio’s Christmas concerts offer uplifting experiences from Mozart to the works of Mari Kalkun. The festive evenings are accompanied by a program of Christmas classics, where the most beautiful Christmas carols of all time play.

The Christmas concert of the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra on Friday 22 December belongs to the music of Mozart. Directed by Olari Elts, the soloists are the young Estonian opera singers Mirjam Mesak and Sandra Laagus.

On Saturday 23 December the Christmas concert of the Estonian National Male Choir will reach listeners directly from St. John’s Church in Tallinn. Directed by Lodewijk van der Ree.

The recordings of the concerts of the Duo Ruudu and Mari Kalkun will be broadcast on Monday 25 December.

On the evening of Wednesday 27 December you can listen to the Japanese radio NHK recording of the Christmas concert of the famous vocal ensemble The King’s Singers on Klassikaradio.

In the “Folk album” series on December 23 you will hear Christmas greetings from 15 European countries and songs by folk artists. A selection of Christmas concerts from the EBU Christmas Music Day program, European and Nordic concert halls and churches are planned during the holidays.

During the Christmas week, the story series “Mõgad atradeks” is broadcast in the morning at 10 am and at midnight. Editor Miina Pärn has collected eight stories of life wisdom, how something inspiring and good can arise from difficult moments in life.

Liina Vainumets’ interview with the restorer and luthier Roland Suits will be broadcast on Monday 25 December in the “Olemine” series.

Klassikaradio also broadcasts Christmas Eve and Christmas Day services live from St. John’s Church in Viljandi and the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
