This summer the residents of Juuliku küla, which has about half a thousand inhabitants, saw how RMK with great enthusiasm built a road for extracting wood from the forest and also covered it with rubble. Locals suspected that a larger cut was planned in their mushroom forest. They started asking RMK why the locals were not involved, as required by law.
Then it turned out that RMK considered his activity legitimate, referring to the information meeting held in 2019. Unfortunately that time it was an apparent involvement (RMK has previously considered involvement documented information). The information meeting was organized with less than a day’s notice, took place during working hours and was attended by a dozen people: only five of those present represented the local community, the rest were officials from the parish of Saku and RMK employees. Furthermore, the minutes of the meeting do not show that the community had agreed to the demolition.
