My Africa Hour already has six television shows dedicated to cross-cutting themes on the continent’s resilient news. Conceived and produced by the journalist Christine Holzbauer Gueye, the program Mon Heure d’Afrique (MHA) has defended – since its launch in 2021 – an independent African point of view through reports produced in Africa by partner African televisions. In parallel with the show that she produces, directs and presents, she created an eponymous association intended to promote freedom of expression in Africa and in the African diasporas by improving audiovisual content that is impartial and verified.

On the occasion of the holding in Lomé, on February 23 and 24, of the exhibition AfricTalentsthe first recruitment fair dedicated to Africa, the association My Africa Hour which produces the eponymous show is happy to partner with AfricSearch to encourage economic actors operating on the African continent to promote the mobility of skills among young graduates, in an increasingly dynamic and very competitive market.

In the show dedicated to him, Didier Acouetey was delighted that African States have taken the full measure of the time bomb represented by massive youth unemployment. If their role, more than ever, is to “regulate, supervise and stimulate” the labor market, they must not replace the private sector. It is therefore a question of succeeding in creating “national champions” in Africa, the only ones capable of absorbing the mass of young graduates who arrive on the market each year. On condition that professional sectors are reorganized, schools regulated and the professional skills of these young people upgraded. An emergency that is all the more relevant, he says, as those who have agreed to return to work in Africa can only welcome it.
