Eight cars from the elite category will start at the Monte Carlo Rally | Car rally

Eight cars in the Rally1 category will take to the road at the opening race of the World Rally Championship season which begins this week in Monte Carlo.

In addition to Ott Tänaku and Martin Järveoja, Thierry Neuville – Martijn Wydaeghe and Andreas Mikkelsen – Torstein Eriksen will also start at the wheel of the Hyundai.

Also present were three Toyota cars: Elfyn Evans – Scott Martin, Sebastien Ogier – Vincent Landais and Takamoto Katsuta – Aaron Johnston.

Adrien Fourmaux – Alexandre Coria and Gregoire Munster – Louis Louka will start in the M-Sport Ford ranks.

There are 28 vehicles in the Rally2 category and seven in the Rally3 category. A total of 69 crews will take to the track.

For the measurement, 17 speed tests are planned for a total length of 324.44 km, which will last from Thursday to Sunday. In addition to the changing conditions in Monte Carlo, drivers also have to adapt to the new points system.
