The CENI reaffirmed its desire to organize indirect elections for Senators, Governors and Vice-Provincial Governors. However, following financial constraints, certain operational dates announced in the rearranged calendar of the electoral process made public on January 25, 2024, will undergo slight modifications. An adjusted schedule will be published shortly.
Initially scheduled for February 16, the closing of the period for submitting and processing candidacy files for the election of Senators, Governors and Vice-Provincial Governors is postponed to March 1, 2024. This is indicated in a press release of the CENI -Independent National Electoral Commission-, made public Friday February 16 in the evening.
A few hours earlier on the same Friday, in a press release made public, the CENI indicated that, following financial constraints, certain operational dates announced in the rearranged calendar of the electoral process, made public on January 25, 2024 , will experience slight modifications.
