Elektrum will be responsible for the provision of general electrical services

Current legislation provides that small consumers who have not chosen their electricity supplier have the right to purchase electricity at a reasonable price, justified and compliant with the principle of equal treatment from the network operator whose network it is connected their electrical system. This is called general service.

“Since Elektrilevi is not authorized to sell electricity, we organized tenders to find a general service provider, in which we invited all electricity sellers operating in Estonia to participate. In total we received five offers and the offer submitted by Elektrum Eesti OÜ was successful. At the same time, the winner of the tender will take over the provision of services to large consumers within the framework of open interruption of supply. The contract for the provision of the service for the next 3 years will be concluded with the winner “, said Rudolf Penu, head of regulatory and legal affairs at Elektrilevi.
