SpaceX is making strides towards the upcoming fourth flight of Starship after a successful static fire test of Ship 29.
During the test, Ship 29 ignited all 6 Raptor engines for approximately four seconds on sub-orbital pad B at Starbase, creating a large cloud of dust. Despite some missing heat shield tiles, Ship 29 remained standing after the dust settled.
Next Steps for Ship 29
Following the static fire test, SpaceX may conduct another test similar to Ship 28 by lighting one Raptor engine to simulate a de-orbit burn.
