The PSD candidate for the Capital City Hall, Gabriela Firea, and Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu went, on April 29, to the abandoned construction site at the Mihai Flamaropol ice rink to film a campaign clip. The surprise came from an employee, who did not allow them to film inside, several eyewitnesses revealed to Hotnews.ro.

The construction of a new artificial ice rink was the promise of the former mayor Sorin Oprescu, and the project started in 2013. The contract was terminated in 2019, during the mandate of Gabriela Firea, and in 2024 a new decision was approved regarding the Mihai Flamaropol ice rink. The site is currently frozen.
