Estonian men’s handball championship: victories were celebrated by Põlva Serviti and Tapa

Two league matches took place today before the cup final: Põlva Serviti met HC Kehra/Horizon Pulp&Paper and HC Tallinn hosted SK Tapa. Serviti won at home 41:26 (23:11) and Tapa took home his second win of the season with 36:27 (19:14).

Tallinn remained winless at home

The bottom two of the table, HC Tallinn and SK Tapa, faced each other in the capital. The start of the match was balanced: in the 6th minute the score was only 2:2 and in the 10th minute 5:5. The visiting team Tapa started to rise in the 13th minute, when Endrik Jaanis scored to make it 7:6. He was followed by Ilja Kosmirak, who scored 2 consecutive goals. In the 20th minute of the match the score was 12:9 for Tapa. In the 24th minute, Tallinna Kert scored Liina to score 14:11. Together with goals from Otto Karl Kond and Danil Gumianov, Tallinn were one goal away from equalizing in the 26th minute, 2.13pm. However, Tapa slipped ahead with a sprint and won the first half 19:14.

In the second half Tapa showed no mercy and collected more and more goals. At the 40th minute the score was 25:18. The red card for Volodymyr Shcherban made Tallinn’s defeat difficult. Goals from Keret Kippar and Danil Gumianov brought the hosts closer at 22:26, ​​​​​​but Marcus Rättel increased the gap to the Tapa team. At the end of the 50th minute, the scoreboard showed the numbers 30:24, which spoke in favor of Tapa. Shcherban’s red card was not the last for Tallinn: Liinat and Gumianov also received red cards, but only in the 60th minute of the match. The match was scored 36:27 for Tapa.

Marcus Rättel scored the most goals for the winners, with 10 goals to his name. Ilja Kosmirak scored 9 goals. The most productive Kert Liinat from Tallinn scored 7 goals.

Serviti was again defeated by Kehra with a big score

Serviti, who is preparing for the next cup final, took 7 minutes to beat his opponent with 3 goals. In the 10th minute the score was 10:5 with a shot from Hendrik Varul. 6 minutes later the Servites scored 5 more goals, Kehra 2. The Servites’ momentum did not stop and 10 minutes before the end of the first half the Põlva club was ahead twice, the score was 16:8. In the 27th minute, Sander Sarapuu scored Servit’s 20th goal. A minute later, Kehra player Kristofer Liedemann scored a goal, bringing the team’s total to 10 goals. Serviti won the first half with a score of 23:11.

The second half continued according to the same pattern, that is, under the leadership of Servit. Jürgen Rooba scored the team’s 30th goal in the 41st minute. Even the remaining minutes of the calm match passed without surprises: in the 50th minute the score was 36:19, and at the final whistle, 41:26 for Serviti.

Servit’s most productive player was Jürgen Rooba with 6 goals. Kristofer Liedemann scored 6 goals from Kehra.
