From Uku Suviste’s Winter Night Song Festival: Estonians will definitely want to sing these songs!

Liis Lusmägi, host of “Stuudio”, emphasized that around 5 degrees of cold is allowed on this occasion. How do singers behave and what is the pleasure of singing like this?

“Well, I think it’s a little easier for the soloists. In the meantime we can warm up in the tent. But it’s definitely much more difficult for these choirs, for these people who stand on these podiums and sing. I think they have the most difficult role But at the same time being side by side like this, moving and taming, and this year there will definitely be more music like this, which will make everyone tap their feet”, thinks Gerli.

When asked by Lusmägi if the average Estonian still wants to sing, Uku replies: “Oh, he wants these songs, he wants them!”

The Otepää winter night singing festival is a collective winter singing that is very well received by the public. Over the years, the song shop has become one of the main winter events in Otepää, where singers from all over Estonia gather.
