There is no doubt that the favorite Euroleague teams for Estonian basketball fans are Vitoria Baskonia, home team of Maik-Kalev Kotsari and Sander Raieste, and obviously Žalgiris from Kaunas. Yesterday fans could watch the match of both teams on the big screens.

The opening night was hosted by Robert Kõrvits, the music was played by DJ Indrek Vissak. Among others, rapper Metsakutsu, host Roomet Poom, actor Karel Käos, basketball player Robert Lilleõis and Soccernet editor-in-chief Kasper Ellissaar attended the event.

Various games were organized for the guests: for example the “soup toss” with a ball and the spicy chicken wings challenge, where the participant does not have to tell the guessers whether he is eating very spicy or normal chicken wings. The official basketball of the Euroleague Final Four, the Žalgiris jersey and much more were drawn.

The fans did not let themselves be discouraged even if the basketball games did not end as desired. First, Žalgiris lost at home to Partizan Belgrade 85:93. In the last match Baskonia lost against Bologna Virtus 81:91. Having emotionally supported the performance of Kotsari, who started as a starter and eventually collected 13 points and 3 rebounds, Raieste, who came off the bench, supported him with diligent defensive action and 2 rebounds.
