Gu never dipped below 93 points in his three attempts, earning up to 95.75 points in his second pass. However, compared to the opening stage of the MK season, the competition was tougher: American Hanna Faulhaber, who came second, earned 92 points on her second try, and Britain’s Zoe Atkin scored 91 points on her first pass.

Gu, who is battling a shoulder injury, said after the match that he will likely have to go to the operating table at some point. “I’m making the most of every day I have on the snow. I’m grateful for every win and I’m hungrier than ever!” said Gu, 20.

In women’s Big Air, two-time world champion Tess Ledeux took first place, receiving 189 points for her two best runs. Second was the Swiss Mathilde Gremaud (185.50 points), with the British Kirsty Muir also on the podium (173.75).

However, Gremaud continues to be the leader in the women’s MK series overall, having collected 380 points at the end of the season. Ledeux is second with 292 points, Gu is third with 200 points.

In the men’s slide there was the same winner for the second consecutive MK stage, when Alex Ferreira, competing in front of his home crowd, earned 97 points on his first attempt. Behind him were four other compatriots, second place went to Hunter Hess (95 points), third Birk Irving (92.50).

In the men’s Big Air, Mac Forehand earned the stage victory with 187 points. According to the Italian Miro Tabanelli (185 points), the Norwegian Birk Ruud (184) is also in the top three. The competition for third place was tight: Swiss Andri Ragettli scored 183.50 points, Austrian Matej Svancer scored 183.25 points.

Ferreira continues to lead the men’s overall ranking with 200 points. Compatriot Alexander Hall is four points behind him, Ragettli is in third place with 186 points.
