Milan reaches the quarter-finals of the Italian Cup, beating Cagliari 4:1 in the round of 16.

In the first half Milan took a 2-0 lead. Theo Hernandez did an excellent job in setting up both goals: in the first case he delivered a clear and precise cross into the penalty area and in the second situation he made a long deft dribble down the left side. Luka Jovic scored both goals.

At the start of the second half, 19-year-old Chaka Traore marked his first appearance for the national team with the first goal to give Milan a 3-0 lead. After some confusion in the penalty area, he managed to shoot there, and his low shot slipped under Boris Radunovic’s hand and ended up in the net.

Paulo Azzi scored Cagliari’s honorable goal in the 87th minute with a strong low shot from distance, but then Milan hit the target once again: Rafael Leao entered the penalty area with the ball and scored it sent to the lower rear corner.

In the quarter-finals Milan will meet Atalanta or Sassuolo.
