His younger brother comes to the restoration of the future King Frederick of Denmark without a wife and children

On the last day of last year, Queen Margaret II of Denmark announced that she will abdicate her throne on January 14 and hand it over to her eldest son, Crown Prince Frederik. That day is of considerable importance: Margrethe will be exactly 52 years on the throne as queen. Her son, however, becomes King Frederick X.

However, not all Danish blue blood champions will participate in this historic day. It is already known that Frederik’s younger brother Joachim and his family, who recently moved to the United States, will not be fully present by January 14th. At Frederik’s coronation, only his brother, his sister-in-law Princess Marie, and their children Henrik and Athena remain in Washington DC. Prince Joachim is connected to America through his job: he works as a defense industry attaché at the Danish embassy, reports the Daily Mail.
